Tracking toward MS5

QuestEditI originally set my goal for the MS5 build as tomorrow; Friday the 10th of July. I’m close, but I think it’ll probably stretch out to Saturday. It’s been a little tricky, wiring up the new quest editing interface.

As a bonus, I’ve also hooked up the “info panel”; a replacement for the “inspect panel” from MMORPG Tycoon 1.1 (which has been sorely missing from all the MT2 builds thus far). This panel shows things like individual subscribers’ enjoyment of the game and their addiction levels, and other internal simulation variables. Not a whole lot of those have been exposed yet, but they will be. Quest givers put their quest configuration into this same panel, and eventually any customisable options on game objects will be in here. (This is where you’ll be able to rename regions and buildings, modify a region’s environment settings, and so on)
